NYS Fair 2010 Drill Team+

We had very few practices this season that involved all 6 riders, on their own horses, with timed music  and a complete pattern  to ride! These issues alone could cause stress & confusion. Add to that horse injuries, scheduling conflicts and a late start having changed to Drill from Quadrille in June, and you know that the State Fair performance was quite a successful accomplishment. We worked hard on lines & spacing, for speed & consistency, for placement, control, bending and more! Team spirit developed with determination and it all paid off. You became a cohesive team of six girls and their horses that suddenly gelled, flowed and proved you could do it. You did a great job and you should be proud of yourselves; your horses and your teammates. We had so much help from friends and family, and people there to cheer us on..it was so wonderful to have the support and assistance—thanks to all!!

THE 2008 OSWEGO COUNTY 4-H DRILL TEAM

We are very proud to let you know that Oswego County 4-H has brought back it's Riding Drill Team program! This year's team consists of 10 Oswego County 4-H members, 8 of which had no prior experience with drill team at all! A young team with 3 members that are 10 or under, with young & inexperienced horses, they have worked together since January to learn the precision, spacing and timing of a proper drill. They truly define TEAM with the way that they encourage and support one another during practices and at horse shows too. This year's team, coached by Lisa Brunner and Terri Fidler includes Paige Jerrett riding Spectacular Go, Taylor Fidler on TF's Big Bad Joe, Savanna Yerdon aboard Superior Sonny Dee III, Rachel Lauricella riding Shane's Sweet Bar Girl, Kierstyn Duggleby riding Absolutely Abby Gal, Kendra Duggleby on Hope We Got This, Ashley Grey on Apache Mescalero, Morgan Schulz riding Cayuga TaSadda, Amanda Kelley on Suddenlys Candy Star and Zephie Karboski aboard A-Mouse.
A big THANK YOU goes out to both the Duggleby family of North Riding Equestrian Center of Cleveland, NY and to Harmony Riders Association in Parish, for the use of their riding arenas for our practices this year.
The year ended with a terrific exhibition performed at the Harmony Riders Association Horse Show of 9/6/08.
